My work incorporates natural imagery - countryside, woodland and sky scapes - to evoke themes of escapism and beauty within my local environment. Employing my own photographic material, I display the images in an original way through a technique of printing on to acrylic. I vary the thickness of the acrylic in order to distort the images and allow them to reflect within the shapes themselves; this effect is enhanced by a combination of matt and shiny surfaces. I experiment with colour and manipulate my images to create both subtle and more vivid pieces. I enjoy exploring the possibilities of acrylic and my themes and enthusiasm grow the more I experiment.
